Experience Summary Began programming computers in 1982. Bachelors (1989) and Masters (1992) degrees in Computer Science. Have worked with and programmed under Unix and Microsoft operating systems (DOS and Windows) since 1985. Have worked continuously with both BSD and Linux since their appearance in the early 1990s. Have worked continuously with Mac OS X since it's appearance in the early 2000s. Published a successful textbook on C/C++ programming Nine years of University teaching experience. Professional systems manager and programmer since 1999: As a contractor with Manpower International, managed servers for more than 100 remote offices around the US and Canada. Managed a network of more than 70 computers consisting of Windows, SGI IRIX, Linux, FreeBSD, and Mac OS X for a scientific research facility. Systems included large RAID servers, WEB servers, and workstations. Also programmed in C, C++, Unix shell languages, Perl, and several other languages. Current clients include a K-8 school with more than 100 Mac and Windows installations, including two Xserves.
