POSIX Software Development and Bioinformatics Analysis

Welcome to Acadix Consulting, LLC, a family-owned, independent consulting firm specializing in ultra-high performance Unix software development and bioinformatics data analysis.

Our Mission

Software and data analysis don't have to be complicated, frustrating, and expensive. The mission of Acadix is to make your business or research computing simpler, faster, and more enjoyable.

We specialize in developing ultra-high performance software tools for POSIX (Unix-compatible) systems, including but not limited to bioinformatics data analysis. Our software is often orders of magnitude faster than typical Perl, Python, and R scripts. In many cases, we can entirely eliminate the need for complex and expensive HPC clusters or cloud resources, allowing the same analysis to be performed on a simple workstation, laptop, maybe even an SoC or embedded system. Where parallel computing is truly necessary, we can at least minimize required CPU-hours, lowering your cloud computing and/or electric bill.

Unlike most companies, Acadix fully supports all actively maintained Unix-compatible operating systems, including Apple Macintosh, BSD, Cygwin, Linux, etc., running on any hardware (X86-64, ARM, etc.). We don't create unnecessary headaches for our customers: Whatever POSIX platform you're running, we'll make our software work for you.

Discounted hourly billing rates available for academia, non-profit organizations, and long-term contract clients.
